FRESCO project technologies |
 |
Concepts developed in the FRESCO research project have been
substantiated by several software prototypes for tools, middleware
and demonstrators.
For the support of scientific cooperation we provide several
prototypes. The Software is released as Open Source under the terms
of the
Academic Free License for optimal usability.
We are looking forward on receiving feedback and on discussions with
scientists and other people interested in the topic.
The
following table lists the main software artefacts that are
available for download and can be tested without further
requirements on any current Windows PC.
| System | Type | Description | Publication |
OwlMap Ontology Generator for Semantic Message Evaluation download | Toolset | The OwlMap package consists of two tools. XS2DAMLOIL transforms files from XML Schema to DAML+OIL (or OWL) ontology. XML2RDF transforms XML files, related to an XML Schemata, to RDF. Together, the tools allow generating OWL specifications from XML Schemata of service-messages and then evaluating actual messages for semantic conformance. |

FrescoTK Service Provision Environment download | Middleware & Toolset | The FRESCO service model implies a specific architecture of service-oriented applications that builds on an open component framework with service-enabling extension, referred to as service-oriented architecture (SOA). FrescoTK is an implementation of the Fresco SOA. It implements service realisations as well as service engineering mechanisms based on various Grid- and Webservice technologies. |
